# Student Internship Workflow Implementation

## Overview
This document outlines the complete student internship (mahasiswa magang) workflow implementation based on the requirements provided.

## Workflow Phases

### 1. Application Phase
**Student applies → Admin review → Approve/Reject**

#### Current Implementation:
- ✅ Students can apply through `/magang/{slug}/apply` or create direct applications
- ✅ Admin dashboard shows all applications with status tracking
- ✅ Admin can approve/reject with notes via admin panel
- ✅ **NEW**: If rejected, student can create a NEW application (not just resubmit files)

#### Key Features:
- Applications start with status `PENDING`
- Admin approval includes assigning supervising lecturer (`dosen_pembimbing`)
- Rejection includes optional notes for feedback
- **Enhanced**: Students can create completely new applications after rejection

### 2. Document Proposal Submission Phase
**Document proposal submission (no admin review)**

#### Current Implementation:
- ✅ Students upload initial documents during application
- ✅ Proposal documents included in application (`berkas_magang`)
- No additional admin review required for proposal stage

### 3. Pre-test & Internship Phase
**Student takes pretest → Internship activities → Monitoring reports (minimum 5)**

#### Current Implementation:
- ✅ Pretest available only after application approval
- ✅ **NEW**: Monitoring report tracking with warning system
- ✅ **NEW**: Minimum 5 monitoring reports required before final phase
- ✅ Real-time monitoring count display with warnings

#### Enhanced Features:
- Monitoring count badges show current progress (e.g., "3/5")
- Warning alerts when insufficient monitoring reports
- Visual indicators for completion status

### 4. Completion Phase
**Student takes posttest → Submit final documents → Admin verification**

#### Current Implementation:
- ✅ **NEW**: Posttest hidden until 1 month after pretest completion
- ✅ **NEW**: Posttest requires minimum 5 monitoring reports
- ✅ Final document submission with admin verification
- ✅ **NEW**: Document resubmission cycle for rejected verifications

#### Key Validations:
1. **1-Month Delay**: Posttest only available 30 days after pretest
2. **Monitoring Requirement**: Must have ≥5 monitoring reports
3. **Document Verification**: Admin reviews and can request revisions
4. **Completion**: Approved verification marks internship as complete

## Technical Implementation Details

## Business Rules Enforced

### 1. Application Rules
- ✅ Only one active application per student per internship
- ✅ New applications allowed after rejection
- ✅ File resubmission available for rejected applications

### 2. Test Rules
- ✅ Pretest required before internship activities
- ✅ Posttest blocked for 30 days after pretest
- ✅ Minimum 5 monitoring reports required for posttest

### 3. Document Rules

## Status Tracking System

### Application Statuses:
- **PENDING**: Waiting for admin review
- **APPROVED**: Admin approved, can proceed to pretest
- **REJECTED**: Admin rejected, can create new application

### Verification Statuses:
- **PENDING**: Final documents submitted, waiting for admin review
- **APPROVED**: Documents verified, internship complete
- **REJECTED**: Documents need revision, student must fix and resubmit

### Progress Indicators:
- ✅ Pretest completion status
- ✅ Monitoring report count (X/5)
- ✅ Posttest availability countdown
- ✅ Final document verification status

## Migration Instructions

To apply the new features:

1. **Run Migration**:

## Error Handling

### Validation Messages:
- "Wait 1 month after pretest to take posttest"
- "Need at least 5 monitoring reports (current: X/5)"
- "Complete pretest before accessing internship features"
- "Only approved internships can upload final documents"

### User Guidance:
- Progress indicators show next required action
- Warning badges highlight missing requirements  
- Action buttons disabled until requirements met
- Clear error messages explain what's needed

## Benefits of Implementation

## Admin Phase Tracking System

### New Admin Dashboard Features
The system now includes comprehensive admin tools for tracking student phases:

- **Overview Statistics**: Visual cards showing counts for each phase
- **Progress Tracking**: Overall completion rate and progress indicators  
- **Phase Breakdown**: Students grouped by their current phase with quick actions
- **Real-time Monitoring**: Auto-refresh every 30 seconds for live updates
- **Quick Action Buttons**: Direct access to common admin tasks

#### 2. Enhanced DataTable (`/admin/mahasiswa-magangs/index`)
- **Current Phase Column**: Shows exactly which phase each student is in
- **Color-coded Badges**: Visual indicators for easy status identification
- **Integrated Actions**: Quick access to approve, verify, and view functions

#### 3. Phase Categories Tracked
- ⏳ **Phase 1: Application Review** - Students waiting for admin approval
- ❌ **Application Rejected** - Students who can create new applications
